About LSU quidditchThe LSU Quidditch Club’s goal is to give students of all athletic backgrounds a unique, competitive experience. Quidditch is a fast-paced, physical game that draws elements from rugby, basketball, dodgeball, and wrestling. The Quidditch club is comprised of LSU students, and competes in the Southwest region against teams such as Texas A&M, Baylor, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, University of Texas-Austin, and many more. Playing in the SEC of the sport prepares LSU well for all tournaments, which occur throughout the year, culminating with Nationals in April.

A New SemesterThe LSU Quidditch Club begins a new semester on Tuesday, August 22! We practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays starting at 5PM at the UREC Field complex. The first week's practices (August 22 and 24) are designated for tryouts. We won't be making any cuts, but we will be going over the basics and teaching the game to anyone interested. No experience or equipment necessary, although cleats are advised. Normal practice begins the following week, consisting of exercises, drills, and scrimmages. Anyone is welcome to any practice, and we'll gladly explain the rules of the game! If you'd like, you can even play a scrimmage or two to try it out! Our first tournament will be September 30, held in Huntsville, Texas. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via our contact page, email, or social media! We're always looking for new players!
Hope to see you at practice! |
